Here’s how you can attend a music festival in the desert in Star Wars

Les Dunes Electroniques returns for 2019 with a two-day festival in a location that might be familiar to any film buffs out there.

The venue, which is situated on the edge of Tunisia’s southern desert in Ong Jmel, is best known for its role in the Star Wars film franchise as Luke Skywalker’s hometown, Mos Espa.

The festival began in 2014, although it hasn’t been held for three years.

It returns in 2019 as a dual venture from the Handicrafts of the Republic of Tunisia and Tunisia’s Ministry of Tourism.

The festival has been described as 30 hours of “uninterrupted music” boasting a yet-to-be-announced line-up of Tunisian, French, and international electronic artists.

While the line-up is yet to be revealed, tickets are on sale now for £38.

Les Dunes Electroniques takes place between September 21st and 22nd.
