Jay-Z and The Killers confirmed as Woodstock 50 headliners

Jay-Z and The Killers confirmed as Woodstock 50 headliners as full stage line-up for the historic festival’s half-century anniversary is confirmed.

The bill boasts an eclectic mix of artists, featuring both contemporary musicians and those who performed at the original festival.

Run The Jewels, Soccer Mommy, Vince Staples, The Raconteurs, Boygenius, Courtney Barnett, Miley Cyrus, Chance The Rapper, Santana, and more are set to take to the stage of the iconic festival.

Woodstock 50 will take place at Watkins Glen, New York from August 16th to 18th.

The event seeks to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1969 Woodstock festival, which attracted around 400,000 people, going onto spawn two further editions held in 1994 and 1999.

Speaking to the New York Times, Woodstock co-founder and co-producer Michael Lang said: “We want this to be more than just coming to a concert. And hopefully a lot of the bands will become part of this effort to get people to stand up and make themselves heard, to get and out vote. And if they don’t have a candidate that represents their feelings, to find one -or to run themselves.”
