Kanye West is reportedly receiving medical treatment at UCLA medical centre just one day after he cancelled his Saint Pablo tour. It has been reported that Kanye is being treated for sleep deprivation and exhaustion.
The ‘Fade’ singer was allegedly “handcuffed and hospitalised” after a breakdown at his personal trainer’s house.
A fire department spokesman said: “At 1.20pm the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to an unspecified medical aid request in the 900 block of North Laurel Avenue. An adult male described as medically stable was taken to an area hospital for assessment.”
On Saturday night, fans were left shocked and confused when Kanye showed up to his own gig an hour and a half late. He then went on to spend 17 minutes ranting about Jay Z and Beyonce and only performed three songs.
West’s mother-in-law, Kris Jenner, said he was “exhausted” after a “gruelling tour”. “He’s exhausted, he’s just really tired. He’s had a gruelling tour and it’s been a grind so he just needs some rest” she explained to US show ‘Extra’.
The singer’s wife, Kim Kardashian, was expected to appear the Angel Ball in New York City on Monday night but did not attend. This would have been the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star’s first public appearing since she was robbed at gunpoint in Paris in early October.
Fans that had bought tickets to his shows will be able to have their tickets “fully refunded at point of purchase”, his spokesperson has confirmed.
