Kanye West’s childhood home to become community arts centre

Rhymefest is transforming Kanye West’s childhood home into a community arts centre.

While Kanye West remains hospitalised, great are being done for Chicago in his name. Fellow Chi-Town rapper Rhymefest has reportedly acquired West’s childhood home, and in an Instagram post today, he’s explained what he plans to do with the space. Here’s what he said:

“I’m excited to announce the purchase of Kanye’s childhood home as a community Arts incubator,” he started. “It will be the first of our Nationwide Lite-Houses. A state of the art recording studio, a curriculum space for @dondashouse and southside music museum. We want to show bright spots in communities that have been divested from, we know more Lights exist here, they just need to be activated.”

For those who don’t know, Rhymefest is a frequent Kanye West collaborator, who co-wrote ‘Jesus Walks’. They go way back.
