Brian Keith Kennedy, Jr. (born March 7th, 1996) known by his stage name Keith’ More-Fire is a Jersey-Born American rapper, singer, producer, songwriter, director, photographer, violinist, and pianist. Born in East Orange, New Jersey and raised in Columbia, South Carolina.
Brian has always been in touch with music since he was a growing toddler but mostly when he got of age to talk. Friends and family would soon realize memorizing lyrics to the most popular music was too easy to him. Given the ability to learn the violin at the age 13, Brian has always been able to compose and also write music, but with the motivation to continue forward, he has been able to learn the piano at the same time.
Creating art to Brian isn’t just for people to listen to and love, but to Brian its written and spoken stories to listeners who are going through the same thing he has or is.
Brian’s influences would come from older artists such as Run DMC, Nas, & Method Man. But, he also was influenced by artists that started at a young age and then progressed as they aged. Artists such as Mario, Usher, and Bow Wow proved to him that as long as you have something worth listening to, you will get heard. It motivated Brian towards thinking he could accomplish everything he had planned at an early stage in his life.
In 2014, Brian’s thoughts on that very subject changed when seeing local artist Speaker Knockerz lose his life. A audio track from the rapper appeared on YouTube where the rapper discussed why he wasn’t getting the recognition from his home city he thought he well deserved. Coming to the conclusion, Brian found out that he had to redirect his marketing power to make sure he did not end up saying the same as rapper Speaker Knockerz.
For Brian’s last influence, Speaker Knockerz, he has taught him that, “no matter who you THINK is there for you; you will have to achieve your goals alone. Nobody can hold your hand, and nobody will stay with you for your entire life to motivate you.”
The young man’s first debut album is set to be released on February 18th, 2015 throughout internet stores such as iTunes and Amazon. The album’s name is “Far From Home”; telling the story of a teenager growing up in a city where success is very limited and when the chance is given, many obstacles deflect the vision of end result.
Meeting family members he’s never met before; discovering he isn’t the only one with the passion for creative art. And, also being the father of a 1 year old daughter, Cailyn Gabrielle Kennedy. Brian’s intentions are set, and his passion, focus, and drive to achieve his goals are more than 100%. For Brian, 2015 is the start of a whole new Keith’ More-Fire.
