Niall Horan has just unveiled his latest solo single, ‘Slow Hands’, and it’s incredible.
The smooth and silky track takes direct inspiration from Niall’s recent obsession with the sounds of the 80’s. Deep basslines, bluesy guitars, and his raw and soulful vocals all contribute to ‘Slow Hands’ slow funk driven sound.
1D fans lost their minds when Niall issued a statement about the track on social media. In the statement, Niall reveals his influences, his excitement, and his forthcoming album. Read the full statement below.
“I’m so happy to be releasing Slow Hands. I’ve been listening to a lot of early 80’s stuff lately and been inspired by that heavy bass and the funky guitar sound. It’s another flavor to my album that I’m excited to share.”
Speaking to The Sun, Niall discussed the creative process and also divulged he initially had doubts about the track. He said, “when it started coming together I started getting a bit freaked out and began telling the producer to start toning things back a bit so it doesn’t sound as funky. But then I grew into it and I really liked it.”
‘Slow Hands‘ has an incredibly mature sound and only builds excitement for Niall’s debut solo album to new levels.
