Listen to Oklahoma rockers Psychotic Reaction’s new tracks on Wet Dream Records

Wet Dream Records is a fledgeling label based in the UK, but has already got its long and selective tentacles reaching around the globe to pick out some unheralded acts worthy of exposure. The label’s website affirms that they are purveyors of “GARAGE.PUNK.PSYCH.LO-FI.TRASH,” so it makes sense that they would have plucked Psychotic Reaction out of the burgeoning punk scene in Oklahoma, and released their music for wider consumption.

Psychotic Reaction are a three-piece that have seemingly used their centre-of-the-continent position to intercept transmissions from the well-known scenes on America’s coasts, taken elements from them, and built their own brand of craven, ramshackle bar-room rock and roll. The band’s name, Psychotic Reaction, tells you plenty about what they’re striving for in their music – intoxicating, hallucinogenic, rough-and-ready guitars finding a happy middle ground between straightforward punk rock and its more drugged out, psychedelic counterparts. Their second 7″ single coming out on Wet Dream furthers the evolution of their songwriting, comprising three viciously quick-and-catchy rockers played with thrilling abandon. You can stream the tracks on Psychotic Reactions’ Bandcamp, or buy the limited edition physical single on Wet Dream Records’ site. Before that, make sure you get a taste of what they’re offering by streaming the A-Side ‘Dying On The Vine‘ below.
