Listen to Jarvis Cocker’s new existential banger, ‘Must I Evolve?’

Jarvis Cocker has shared the first single from his new band, Jarv Is.

‘Must I Evolve?’ sees the Britpop icon team up with bandmates Serafina Steer, Emma Smith, Andrew McKinney, Jason Buckle and Adam Betts.

The existential banger opens with the Pulp frontman posing several questions and a haunting choir responding with “yes” and “no’s”. Check it out below.

Jarv Is played their first show in Iceland, at Sigur Ros’ ‘Norður og Niður’ festival in at the end of 2017.

They went on to play a string of small, sell-out UK tour of caverns and tiny venues in spring 2018.

The group plays All Points East on 25th May before heading to Primavera Festival and on 4th June they are playing in a cave in Ibiza. The single will only be available for physical purchase at these dates as the band is “primarily a live experience”.
