Mainline gave hard rock that excruciatingly rare earworm edge with their debut album, ‘The Unholy Idol’.

New York hard rock four-piece powerhouse Mainline released their anthem-packed debut album, The Unholy Idol, on October 1st, 2021. If any new outfit has what it takes to tear rock fans away from the iconic albums from Iron Maiden, KISS, Metallica and Black Sabbath, it’s Mainline, with their classic rock-inspired, atmospheric riff-heavy rock.

Vocalist Johnny Iodice more than knows his way around a vocal hook, giving their sound that excruciatingly rare earworm edge. The high-energy release kicks off with the malefic hit, Sanctum, before thrash metal starts to work its way into the sonic palette in Out of the Shadows. The album shows the evocative underbelly of the outfit with the lighter-in-the-air-worthy single, A Distant Memory, before concluding with a strident demonstration of their virtuosic furore with No Warnings, No Signs that is enough to leave you psyched for the apocalypse.
