Emmanuel Rabel, formerly known as “Get Fresh”, was born May 26, 1990 in Brooklyn, NY. Following the untimely death of his father, he and his mother relocated to the borough of Queens. With the loss of his father and confidante, Manny turned to music as an outlet for his pain; churning his heartache and emotion into amazing songs.
In spite of a gospel foundation, and singing in his church choir, the lack of paternal guidance left Manny victim to the streets. He became engulfed in the allure of the fast life, fast money and the “brotherhood” of gang affiliation. Having set aside the hymnal for street life, his raw talent attracted the wrong influences. The result was a stagnation of his raw talent.
Having endured many lessons and heartbreak, A 25 year old Emmanuel Rabel, now reemerges “Manny Rebel”. And, with a wiser outlook, he intends to show the world the great potential seen early on by music legends, and celebrity vocal coach, Craig Derry. With his vision squarely set on becoming a great performer, writer and actor, we’ll see if the world is ready for the ride.
