R. Kelly reportedly left with just $625 to his name following legal battles

Recently released court documents have revealed that R. Kelly is going through severe financial difficulties after the singer following a series of legal battles.

The Blast reports that the controversial rapper has only $625 in his bank account, while another of Kelly’s bank accounts is overdrawn by £9.91 ($13).

The musician has reportedly had to pay out thousands in a series of legal battles and is currently on bail after being charged with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse.

Kelly, who pleaded not guilty to all the charges, was put into further financial issues after his bail was set at £762,500 ($1 million) – with 10% of the sum allegedly being paid by his close friend as the 52-year-old singer claimed he didn’t have the funds available to pay it himself.

The court documents were filed as part of the ongoing legal battle with his landlord over $200,000 in back rent, which has seen Kelly’s accounts seized and drained as a result of the musician’s

The landlord is currently collecting debt from the R&B singer after he won the $173,000 judgment, sending off subpoenas to Sony Music, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, and various banks where Kelly once held accounts.

Over $154, 527 has been collected by the landlord from Bank of America so far, and they have made a request to the judge that a further $50,000 be released from Sony to settle the full sum.
