The Hives return with their first single in four years, ‘I’m Alive’

Swedish rock group The Hives have returned with ‘I’m Alive’, marking their first original material in four years.

A raucous, driving track, the latest offering revels in the importance of “resistance”, as frontman Pelle Almqvist elaborates: “I’m Alive is a song about crawling up from under a rock and obliterating all resistance that sounds like crawling up from under a rock and obliterating all resistance because it is a band crawling up from under a rock and obliterating all resistance, use it in your own life to help you obliterate your own resistance!”

‘I’m Alive’ features on a special edition double A-side 7”, and will be available for physical purchase on 28th June.

A new album is expected in 2020.
