There’s new Sleater-Kinney music coming… and it’s being produced by St. Vincent

This is not a drill! There’s new music coming from iconic riot grrl band Sleater-Kinney, and it’s going to be produced by none other than St. Vincent.

Both St. Vincent (aka Annie Clark) and the band confirmed the exciting news on social media with a mysterious picture of the group in the studio, captioned on Clarke’s profile with: “2019. Sleater-Kinney produced by St. Vincent”.

The trio – which comprises Corin Tucker, Janet Weiss and Carrie Brownstein – last reunited in 2015, bringing out their first album in ten years, No Cities To Love.

St. Vincent hasn’t made it any secret that she’s a fan of the band: in 2018, Clarke shared a clip on Instagram of herself performing Sleater-Kinney’s iconic hit, ‘Modern Girl’ – check it out below.

It’s not the first time Clarke and Brownstein have worked together, with the duo releasing a collaborative series of surreal short films for Instagram back in 2017.
