The Killers covered two Tom Petty songs Sunday night (8th October) during their headlining performance at Austin City Limits.

The Brandon Flowers-fronted band opened with ‘American Girl‘ before moving on to play ‘The Waiting‘. “It was just like somebody stabbed you in the heart when you heard that he died,” frontman Brandon Flowers said to the crowd. Watch The Killers’ renditions below.
