Stranger Things actor Finn Wolfhard stars in Weezer‘s latest video for their cover of A-Ha’s classic track ‘Take On Me’.
The visuals see a glam-rock-styled Wolfhard and his Calpurnia bandmates travel back to the ’80s to perform as a teenage version of frontman Cuomo’s living-room band.
The video also pays tribute to A-Ha’s original video, featuring an animated illustration version of the band – check it out below:
It’s not the first time Wolfhard has played the Weezer frontman: watch him perform ‘Buddy Holly’ against his Stranger Things castmates for Comedy Central‘s Lipsync Battle below.
The single comes from Weezer’s recently released surprise LP, The Teal Album, a cover compilation which features tributes to TLC, Michael Jackson and Toto.
The four-piece are no strangers to dropping the odd surprise cover. Last September, they delivered an unexpected rendition Blink 182’s ‘All The Small Things’ during their headline set at Chicago’s Riot Fest – watch that here.
Weezer will release their second album of the year, The Black Album, next month.
