‘Wu-Tang Clan: An American Saga’ is coming to Hulu

It was announced on Thursday that Wu‘s main man RZA will be developing a ten-part series that will be available to stream through Hulu. The show entitled ‘Wu-Tang Clan: An American Saga’ will follow the band’s origin and be based on RZA’s books: ‘The Wu-Tang Manuel’ and ‘Tao of Wu.’ 

The press release explains: “Set in early ’90s New York at the height of the crack cocaine epidemic, the show tracks the Clan’s formation, a vision of Bobby Diggs aka The RZA, who strives to unite a dozen young, black men that are torn between music and crime but eventually rise to become the unlikeliest of American success stories.”

The series will be penned by RZA himself alongside screenwriter Alex Tse who has written scripts for films such as ‘Watchmen’ and ‘Superfly’.
