You can now stream karaoke on Twitch

Fancy your fix of self-abasement but don’t want to leave the house?

Have no fear, Twitch have released their first ever game over the weekend, and it might just be the perfect solution to your karaoke-less woes.

Twitch Sings, the streaming service’s new free-to-play game, lets wannabe performers belt out renditions of their favourite songs in front of thousands of viewers. Check out a demo below.

With a bank of 2,000 available songs and the potential for more to come, the new feature lets Twitch users perform duets, earn rewards by completing challenges for rewards and support their favourite streamers-gone-singers by joining an in-game crowd.

Developed by Twitch alongside the group behind Rock Band and Dance Central, Harmonix Music Systems, the new game requires no additional gaming equipment and builds upon Twitch’s IRL streaming options, which encompasses ‘Music & Performing Arts’ and other every day or miscellaneous activities such as ASMR.
