You need to listen to Nasty Cherry, Charli XCX’s new girl band

Self-proclaimed ‘London Queen’ Charli XCX has been hinting for fans to check out the Instagram account of a band called Nasty Cherry for a few months now.

Despite a big presence on the ‘gram, the all-girl four-piece had no music to speak of – until now.

The group made their debut with infectiously catchy, moody, pop-punk cut ‘Win’, co-written by Charli and produced by Justin Raisen (Charli, Sky Ferreira and Angel Olsen),

Check out the track below – the group have already been called “a hybrid of the Spice Girls and The Runaways”, and we’re totally here for it.

Like a sexy Simon Cowell, Charli was the musical matchmaker that cherrypicked lead singer Gabby Bechtel, guitarist Chloe Chaidez, bassist Georgia Somary and drummer Debbie Knox-Hewson together and urged them to make music and signing them to Vroom Vroom recordings, her own label.
