‘Angel (Wash It Away)’ sees Elysaé deliver stirring vocals alongside a delightfully catchy melody

Up and coming independent artist Elysaé is a singer-songwriter with a passion for story telling and expression of the human experience through music.

The Australian singer-songwriter developed her love for music and songwriting as a young child when she began learning piano at the age of six.

As time went on, she discovered the power of using music as a tool for healing and self-expression.

This lead to Elysaé performing at sold out shows with acts such as Caravãna Sun , Jackson Carroll and Monstress.

The artist has also performed at Australian Music Week alongside Alysha Brilla and Boomchild and The Carbons.

After hitting #4 on the AMRAP Regional Charts with her self-empowerment anthem ‘Blinded’ and recently becoming a semi-finalist in the Listen Up Songwriting Prize, Elysaé is back, stronger than ever with an artful expression of anger and pain.

‘Angel (Wash It Away)’ sees Elysaé deliver stirring vocals alongside a delightfully catchy melody.

The lyrics mesmerize from start to finish and her harmonies are simply breathtaking.

Elysaé explains that “This song was born out of a dark & torturous time. After a series of events, I was left feeling angry, apathetic & powerless, not only because of what had occurred that day, but because it also bought up a whole lot of suppressed emotions.

They washed over me with such intensity that I felt paralysed. Not knowing how to move through them , I did the only thing I could – write.”

The track was co-produced by Luke Carra (Caravãna Sun) and Ian Prichett (Angus & Julia Stone, The Beautiful Girls, Kim Churchill).

Filming the ‘Angel (Wash It Away)’ music video was the first time Elysaé has ever danced with fire.

The singer-songwriter describes it as “such a fun and surreal experienced and I absolutely loved every second of it!”
