'Mercy' is a song that gives us faith and inspiration with some reggae vibes. It is a refreshing faith driven song... with positive feels and encouragement to exercise patience because it is alway worth the wait. 'Please forgive me I am a damaged man' evokes a sentiment that we all should embrace.  'Grace of God' is delivered with modern rap as Malachi lays out his ministry and deliverance of living in the grace of god. We love his relatable lyrical rap.
The arrangement on the version of “Praise Be (Live)” has flavors reminiscent of a mellow eighties Prince song. 'God Alone (Live)' is a
spoken word-tinged devotional with hints of a Leonard Cohen influence. It will hit you right in your gut.
Malachi was inspired to write 'Grace of God' after working at a concert with Christian rap stars KB and WHATUPRG. “Meeting those guys and seeing their phenomenal performances was a real epiphany. I realized I needed more hip-hop songs glorifying the Lord. I wrote, recorded, and
released the song within a month after the show. God’s hand was definitely at work to make that all happen so quickly. All the artists on the bill that night blew me away with their stage presence and response from the crowd who loved every minute of it and recited the lyrics. It became clear to me that there is a place for positive, conscious rap music with a spiritual message.”
