EDM artist and top Nashville DJ and producer Feelz releases new single ‘Will You Be My’ (ft. DeVries). The song is now available on all streaming platforms and you can listen to it here.
What is the inspiration behind the song?
I was on YouTube one day and came across a song that I really liked. The song was ‘In the Name of Love’ by Martin Grarrix. The music video to the song just really inspired me to make “Will You Be My.”
What is special to you about being a DJ in Nashville?
In all the cities I have DJed in, Nashville is just very different. They just started really seeing the value of DJs a few years ago. They still don’t completely get how to use them yet as this is a country music city. It’s really cool to see the changes and to be a part of them.
What was it like working with DeVries on this track? Her vocals are amazing!
She is just amazing. Her vocals and individuality real took this project to a new level. I sent her a demo with demo vocals and she just did her thing. She really just took the project and added more than I ever imagined.
Who are some of your biggest inspirations when it comes to your music?
I really enjoy Illenium, Kaivon, Said the Sky, and RL Grime. They have been some of my favorites for years.
Who are some of your favorite acts you have shared the stage with? Slander would have to be the top. Them as a duo in the EDM trap world is unmatched.
What inspires you daily to keep going in your music career?
My love for music. I understand is going to take time to get to where I want to be so I have to remind myself daily to wake up and grind.
Feelz’s start in the music industry began during his years as a college student playing DJ sets at many of the local clubs and bars. After gaining hometown popularity, he began performing alongside major-label musicians and DJs from around the world. Some of the artists include Waka Flocka Flame, Slander, and Allison Wonderland. Feelz played on tours such as Paint Gone Wild and the Glo Paint Party.
Feelz’s three singles he has released are at over a million total independent streams in just 9 months. Feelz’ releases include ‘The One ft. DeVries,’ ‘Waiting For You ft. Lena Luisa,’ and single, ‘Got U’ ft. Ceara Cavalieri,’ which have seen placements in EDMNations, EDMSauce, BuzzMusic, PopWrapped, and Stage Right Secrets.
