Pllexto unveiled his debut album ‘Alter Ego’ earlier this year and sees us embark on a journey through funk, pop, disco and self-discovery

Meet Pllexto the musical “alter ego” of Vishwesh Dave, a rising Indian artist currently based in Köln, Germany.

With roots in Mumbai, India and a creative spirit sharpened by his Master’s degree in Media Culture, Vishwesh brings a dual perspective to his art, one that bridges continents, cultures, and sonic identities.

His debut album ‘Alter Ego’ is a vivid 8 track journey through funk, pop, disco, and self-discovery.

The album begins with the brief but funky track ‘Proem’

It’s a record born out of four years of personal evolution and features twenty two collaborators from Germany.

Focusing on themes like cultural duality, identity reinvention, and emotional transparency, all without ever losing its pulse.

From the production aesthetic to the collaborative spirit, Pllexto embodies the kind of global-local creativity that’s defining the next wave of indie music.

‘FeatherLike In Paradise’ is the second track from the album and is a real delight to listen to as Pllexto delivers gentle melodies, catchy beats and soulful vocals.

Filmed in the city of Love (Paris). ‘FeatherLike In Paradise’ reflects the enchanting moment of meeting a special stranger for the first time amidst a crowd, where the world feels weightless, and dreams are shared through a glance. Lost in thoughts of unspoken love.

The album then continues with the uplifting ‘Take Off’ that sees Pllexto unveil a catchy pop melody.

‘Don’t Hold Enough’ has more of a lively feel to it as it begins with a stirring intro and then the Indian artist unveils the perfect blend of funky melodies and smooth vocals.

Pllexto concludes ‘Alter Ego’ with ‘Closure’ by serving up an up tempo but lo-fi arrangement and ethereal soundscape, that shines with funky vibes in places.
