Premiere: Bethlehem Casuals – Movin’ Cubans

Movin’ Cubans’ is a track that has no regard for conventions, nor labels. This second single from Bethlehem Casuals’ forthcoming E.P Croissant Macabre swerves the safe confines of a genre, and instead aims for a sound that can only be described as a cuban carnival- and it’s all the better for it. The live session is lead by the ever-theatrical frontman, who growls and roars his way through tongue twisting tales of infatuation. His bravado and vigour would be entertainment enough, but in tandem with the flamboyant flourishes and flutters of the instrumentation, the 7-piece provide a brilliant show. And not forgetting, the very special addition of Ina Colizza on vocal duties and the twirls and shimmies of Matrafisc Dance, who both help make the energy and vibes almost tangible. It feel so natural the way the band feed off each other during the live performance, that it makes you wonder: is there a better way to hear the Bethlehem Casuals?
