The Weeknd to join Foo Fighters and Radiohead at Open’er Festival 2017

The Weeknd has been announced to headline 2017’s Open’er Festival, joining both Foo Fighters and Radiohead.

The R&B star recently topped the charts and set the record for Spotify’s most streamed song in a single day. Although the actual figures have not yet been released, Spotify confirmed that Tesfaye had set the record following the release of his latest album ‘Starboy’.

Republic Records Chairman, Monte Lipman, has said, “Spotify’s continued support of The Weeknd has now reached historic proportions and also reinforces the tremendous growth of global streaming.”

Open’er Festival will take place from June 28th to July 1st, 2017, bringing some of music’s most affluent acts to the Kosakowo Airport in Gdynia. Tickets are available on the festival’s website pricing at 107e which translates to £95.50. You can check out some some of the highlights from Open’er Festival 2016 below.
