How did you get into music in the first place?
I (Evandro Tiburski) started in music at the age of 4 as I come from a family of musicians. I studied music in renowned conservatories, was a soloist in the Sorocaba – São Paulo orchestra at the age of 11. I also studied music in Spain and since my teens taught music classes, as the founder of one of the largest music schools in southern Brazil.
Fabi Terada studied music as a child, was always very connected with art and in adolescence she resumed her studies in music playing guitar at Evandro’s music school. It was at the music school that we met.
How was the Overdriver Duo formed?
We met at music school. Over time we developed a musical relationship and not until later did we become lovers and are now happily married.
Overdriver Duo was born within the music school when we decided to record a music video singing a pop song and playing bass horizontally, a technique that is now followed around the world called ‘Overstyle’. The video was posted and in just 24 hours it had been watched in over 30 countries! It was an immediate success and since then Overdriver Duo has been one of the biggest Internet phenomena in the world!
How many views have you totalled on social media?
Overdriver Duo has over 4 billion views in over 160 countries on its social networks and has about 100 million views every week across the networks.
Who were your musical influences?
We have several musical influences from rock n’ roll, pop, electronic music, latin music, to jazz. We mix different styles creating a unique way of making music called Overstyle as mentioned previously.
In each new Overdriver Duo video, fans will see something different. However, Overdriver Duo is classified as an international pop band, as in addition to making versions of the greatest hits in world music, we are releasing our original songs.
What songs are currently repeating in your playlists?
In addition to the original songs, Overdriver Duo’s greatest hits and reproductions are on their digital platforms! There are more than 200 videos and songs available.
What is your life outside of music?
We live totally in music 24 hours a day! We have a studio at home and producing clips and recordings. We also do some photographic modelling for big brands in the world of fashion, motorsport and other niches.
Fabi, in addition to being a musician, has a degree in law and works with the team of lawyers at Overdriver Duo.
We also have fun socially like any other couple!
If you could collaborate with any singer, who would it be?
Tough question but we have already done 4 collaborations with Andy Summer from ‘The Police’, and with the mainstream artists in Brazil. We are always developing new collaborations with big stars of the world music!
We are always available for new partnerships and we love the experience of recording with other artists!
What is your favorite music genre?
It’s the music in its essence!
What’s next for you musically?
We are releasing new original songs with super cinematic production clips in 4 and 8k definition. We are also working to release new collabs very soon that are already being recorded with big names in music worldwide.
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Our main strength is humility, hard work, perseverance and continuous dedication for our career to evolve more every day!
Our weaknesses are that we are human beings like everyone else, we have insecurities, fears, and defects like everyone else, we follow them in the game of life seeking our own evolution every day, to deliver quality music to people that can inspire and make of the world a happier place… After all… “Without music, life would be a mistake!”
What is your guilty pleasure?
We love watching cartoons like we were kids again. We even go to the cinema to see children’s movie releases and take our nephews with us.
How did you find out about Music Crowns?
