O Cinnedi, a rising force within the music realm, is revealing her next evolution of sound with the release of “Bune.”. A potent fusion of techno, phonk, and bass house, this haunting opus promises an immersive sojourn into a shadowy and mystical realm. We got to chat with the artist around this new release.
Can you tell us more about your upcoming release “Bune” and what inspired you to create this dark hybrid-house anthem?
Honestly I moved myself to downtown Toronto where you find the city immersed with this dark techno/house feel that completely changed my perspective on what type of music I wanted to make… I just finished a huge mid tempo dark dubstep project, called The Seven Deadly Sins. and I started to feel more and more that I learned that the genre I loved to make was this hybrid-house anthem.
How would you describe the fusion of techno, phonk, and bass house in “Bune”? What elements from each genre can listeners expect to hear?
The cowbells of Memphis Phonk. To the bass and sub of techno. The percussion and synths of bass and dark house… this song brings you into a synth wave dystopian future…
You’ve achieved significant milestones in your career, such as collaborating with Archie Pena and delivering a captivating performance at Shambhala. How have these experiences influenced your artistic growth and shaped your sound?
I think what I learned is a different perspective of how the music industry works… it’s this idea of how show production works and I have never really been ever able to do something small, or well half ass. My sets and production will always be a huge show. In the biggest to smallest of venues. Magic is what I want to bring.
You’ve worked in artist relations for Valhalla Sound Circus. How has that experience working behind the scenes in the music industry informed your approach as a DJ and producer?
I learned how to make money and how to not be fulfilled. The music industry can make or break you. I learned how to make influential changes in my life so I can grow and help others too. The behind the scenes showed me the structure.
What do you want listeners to take from your music?
I want to take people away from this world and into the future of what I see and a different atmosphere.
What’s coming next for you?
Right now I am partnered with a company named Narfex where we are building a token and fiat btb centralized crypto that is based around models, musicians and artists. I am also going to be releasing more music and building shows while many more sponsors and partnerships in bringing fashion, modeling and music together.
Right now I am looking at long term longevity over short term success. Shows and touring is always a goal, but building a life changing business and ways to help bring more money into the music industry is what I am doing at this time. I am also building a production show and a new brand centralized on our world and the dystopia we are in.
