Dani Saldo drops ‘No Strings Attached’

‘No Strings Attached’ is the second single from singer-songwriter Dani Saldo, and it’s indicative of her commercial potential. A summer pop party anthem, this song would sound at home on the soundtrack of a teenage romance movie. Dreamy guitar rhythms, ethereal synths and buoyant beats create a kinetic backdrop for Dani Saldo’s irresistible melodies. The energetic track elevates the lyrics, which are filled with an underlying sadness and honest depths.

Speaking of her new single, Dani Saldo explains:

“I want people to be able to both dance and cry to my music, because that’s something I personally do (maybe a little too often). This one has a big fat drum fill before the chorus and a very empty almost sobering bridge. I wanted to reflect the moments when you know you’re running from a problem or hurt and you’re just drunk off your ass dancing and crying about your ex and contrast them with the uncomfortable “Who the fuck am I? Why am I doing this? What do I do without my ex? I miss them”. The way it’s produced kinda reminds me of when you go to the washroom or step out of a party. It’s a weirdly sobering moment amidst all the noise. But then you step back in to dance and get wasted and forget after.”

Inspired by the likes of Julia Michaels, Joji and LORDE amongst others, Dani Saldo’s songwriting explores self-discovery and vulnerability, paired with dazzling and upbeat productions. Having trained at ABS-CBN’s Star Magic in the Philippines and Berklee College of Music in LA, Dani’s musical expertise is evident in her releases. Her debut EP ‘Heartache’ is expected later this year, and we can expect big things from this pop prodigy.
