Abandon the Fall just released their newest single ‘Exhale’, which is the first collaboration track on their fast-growing catalog.
Abandon the Fall’s releases have been exclusively instrumental up until this point, and it’s an impressive collection of songs.
‘Exhale’ breaks the seal on the vocal vacuum, and it does not disappoint.
The strong vocal work is credit to Dayshell, a well known post-hardcore group from Southern California.
The pairing works brilliantly with Abandon the Fall, whose melodic approach to their songs provides the perfect setting for a catchy, but raw and passionate lyrical theme.
Juan Espinoza, the man behind the Abandon the Fall project said, “The concept of this song revolves around the battles that are brought upon by oneself, and the
struggles that arise from within.
It’s what stems from oneself, the crossfires from decisions made, relationships, life in general.
The opening line of the song pretty much sums up the concept, “The story goes I’m pitiful, into darkness I descend”. It’s a very simple opening, but those few words pack a big punch.”
Not only do those open words pack a big punch, but the entire song keeps that feeling going strong right until the end.
