Abi Clements unveils emotional debut EP ‘I’ll Be Honest Boy’

Brighton-based singer-songwriter Abi Clements has emerged with immediate attention. With tastemaker support from both radio and press, as well as performances at renowned venues in her home city, Abi’s blend of infectious atmospheres and uncovered emotions is setting her on a path to success.

Teased by her first two singles, the painful vulnerability of ‘See Straight’ and confident grooves ‘Get Go’, the project introduces another two unreleased tracks. The title track and ‘Middle Name’ both continue to delve into defenceless themes, delivering raw vocals filled with tender misery. Sparse arrangements see Abi’s talents brought into the light, with rich piano accompaniment topped with adrift string arrangements backing the powerful lead melodies.

Commenting on the project, Abi shares, “I wrote this EP during the fallout of a very messy breakup with someone who I spent an intense portion of my late teen years with. Through each song, I want the listener to feel like they are reading my personal diary entries while going through this time, and maybe not feel so alone if they’re going through the same thing. I give my thanks to those shitty boys who made this EP happen!”
