Previously known for his alias Kleptos, under which he took part in the Lab Zero project of famous local singer Mayao, Hong Kong-based talent Aezvl is now making the first big step in his promising career, sharing his debut single “On My Own.” Starting to produce music back in 2018, Aezvl has definitely come a long way, and is aiming to curate his very own style, inspired by a lot of different sounds and genres of electronic music.
“On My Own” is out now via bedroom-based record label Esc. Records, and is without a doubt a perfect showcase of how strong Aezvl is in the studio, and how well he can bridge together multiple sounds in order to create something new and fresh. The song starts off filled with anthemic melodies and infectious vocal lines, before groovy percussion hits and claps are added in. The chorus on the other hand is driven by distorted bass growls, heavenly synth arpeggios, and expert vocal chops, cementing “On My Own” as the first of many hits to come from Aezvl.
