Ryan Terrigno is back with his new single, “I Can Still Break Your Heart.” This is the 2nd single we’ve heard from the artist, after he dropped the stomp-clap anthem “Get Lost” earlier this Spring.
We caught up with Terrigno to talk about the new single and we’re glad we did, since he shed valuable light into the meaning of the song.
“Although not obvious by the title,“I Can Still Break Your Heart” is a love song. You can have this great love in your life, be perfectly content and happy – but we’re only human – we make mistakes – we have the power to blow it all up – and that’s terrifying. When you think about how easily it could all fall apart, it makes you appreciate it all the more. So, just because you CAN still break someone’s heart – it doesn’t mean you want to.”
The uplifting melody (highlighted by the lovely piano work of Zac Clark) makes so much more sense now. Give it a listen and try to keep “I Can Still Break Your Heart” from getting stuck in your head.
