Anna Aarons returns with fresh single ‘Her’

Anna Aarons is a London based artist who has gone from busking on the London Underground to selling out shows in the capital. Heavily inspired by Amy Winehouse, Anna fused jazz with pop and indie styling and the concoction makes for a great listen. This can be heard in ‘Her’, the latest string to Anna’s bow.

The narrative of the release is driven around family, in particular Anna’s youngest sister Sarah who also created the track artwork.

Discussing the release Anna explains:

“Being the older sister, I’ve always been very protective over her but, despite being five years younger, she sometimes seems like my older sister with her wise words and protectiveness over me. I wrote the song about five years ago on acoustic guitar but with the help of my producer Will Jackson and band mate Mehmet Raif, I love the new groove and production of this track.”

Complete with club-room keys and a Hammond solo, ‘Her’ is a soul and blues triumph that makes this track difficult to turn off. It’s definitely on repeat this week, that’s for sure.
