Forward-thinking artists Arka-9 and MC FAX have been showcasing their unique talent and left-field approach to music creation for some time now. Arka-9 offers an eccentric persona combining hypnotic and psychedelic beats, perfectly fitting over MX FAX’s niche rap styles blended with a more mainstream sound.
Their latest collaboration titled ‘Oh Africa’ comes with an interesting visual companion, and is one of their strongest to date. Driven by strong bass and groovy drum-work by Arka-9, the instrumental gives MC FAX the appropriate space to shine and that’s exactly what the talented rapper does. Arka-9 explains:
” ‘Oh Africa’ was built around the primary theme of Duality and to be a demonstration of the synchronicity of chaos and order. The essence of the project draws from past life experiences in an inward sense, such as the grappling of contrasting thoughts and feelings, and in an outward sense, in how these elements affect relationships with others and the conduction of self-expression.”
