Arkayla share the fiery emotion of new single ‘Falling Down’

Forming in 2020, Arkayla’s sound has quickly garnered a reputation on the live circuit for electrifying venues with tracks that blend the sounds of everything from The LA’s to Tame Impala to The Doors. Reaching No.2 on iTunes alternative charts with their debut single earlier this year, the band has also seen nods from BBC Radio 6 and a slot booked for Y Not Festival.

Recorded and produced at Kempston Street Studios by Rich Turvey, Arkayla has now unveiled their second single ‘Falling Down’. A dynamic mix of glittered guitar tones, deep distortions and energised rhythm sections give the band a gorgeously familiar feel, pulled together by their youthful reflections and rose-tinted lyricism.

Pouring out their art into each and every moment, the four-piece roars from section to section with enticing riffs. The subtle hints of dreaminess in the twinkling counter melodies and falsetto vocal moments drive the unique aspects of Arkayla to the forefront, a band set on echoing their heroes whilst pioneering new levels of passion.

Commenting on the track’s upcoming slot in Arkayla’s debut EP, lead singer Cal Blakebrough shares, “Falling Down is my favourite track on the EP, it sounds like The Strokes meets The Smiths, which I think is a great combo.”
