Hailing from Scotland and now based in Japan, Arran Sym has released his new single ‘Fire On Me’, taken from his upcoming album Beauty Valley which can be expected later this month. The rising artist, producer and multi-instrumentalist brings a fierce sound to his latest single; he fuses kinetic beats, fuzzy synth bass and melodic lines to create a dark sonic atmosphere which accompanies the hypnotic vocals. Arran employs hip-hop and lo-fi influences to make this alt-pop track utterly compelling.
Speaking about his new release, Arran reveals: “The song is about a girl being unsure of what she wants and me gaining the self-confidence to not accept the energy and pressure that she is putting on me. It was a song that was created in a moment of flow state. I started with the main synth bassline and drums and then added some guitars and vocal harmonies.
Multi-talented Arran Sym has a growing list of production credits for other artists under his belt, as well as more new music of his own set for release. ‘Fire on Me’ will leave his growing fanbase hungry for more, and we can’t wait to see what’s next from Arran Sym.
