Asha Gold is on the rise with newest single ‘Passenger’

Asha Gold is the latest London-based artist making waves in the RnB scene, with her latest release being a carefully crafted certified head-nodder. With infectious vocal lines and clever woven basslines which counter each melody, ‘Passenger’ is Asha’s most accomplished offering yet.

Discussing the release Asha Gold explains:

“’Passenger’ was one of the first songs I ever wrote. I had been traveling in Europe, and on my train home I heard a guy on the platform playing a riff on guitar which caught my attention. I asked him what the chords were, and wrote the song the next day with the voice note he had kindly recorded for me. It’s about escapism and how all your stresses seem to fade when you’re traveling, constantly on the move.”

As a trained pianist and drummer, Asha’s music delicately fuses classic influences into a contemporary sound showing that she’s well beyond her years in terms of ability. Inspired by Frank Ocean, H.E.R and her Eastern heritage, her music is as delightful as it is diverse.
