The artist is always combining past and present with his music, and ‘Done Holding On’ is no exception. A song that is dear to Attawalpa’s heart, it’s a smooth, alt-pop gem, driven by organic drums and playful keys. Attawalpa’s vocal performance sounds as theatrical as it is honest, while he offers a captivating lines filled with deep singing and falsetto vocal harmonies.

“‘Done Hanging On’ is simply a track about letting go,” he explains. “I wrote the song on my dad’s piano. It was quite emotional as I was listening to a lot of Elliot Smith’s ‘XO’ at the time. I then took it to my sonic confidants Matt Allchin (co-producer) and Henry Danowski (drummer) and we made it pop.”
