Barton Hartshorn shares the graceful new EP ‘Everything…’

Barton Hartshorn takes his name from the village he grew up in, a place where local music nights were filled with folk singers who would go on to influence his storytelling attitude to make music. After fronting the band Dictafone, Barton changed lanes, embarking on a solo journey that has seen him release five albums across over a decade of releasing music. Constantly seeing acclaim for his sound and always growing more and more in his songwriting, the artist has solidified their place as a true musician time and time again.

Now, Barton reveals his latest project, the track EP ‘Everything…’. Bringing together the two fabulous teaser singles, two new tracks and a new version of ‘Everything is better than before’, which features in the new film ‘UnCancelled’, Barton takes listeners on a graceful and purposeful narrative, using his songwriting as a tool to convey rich tapestries of emotion. Intricate in every moment, from the soft acoustic guitars, the bright electric slides and most importantly, Barton’s honest and raw vocal delivery. All the tracks build on one another, complimenting the slight changes in sound and feeling as you progress. An impressive and defining project for the songwriter.

Barton explains, “I was sitting in a packed cinema in Valencia, Spain, watching a film premiere and my song began to play over the final scene. No one could see me in the dark but I had a huge smile on my face. It was a special moment. The songs on this EP were written to accompany “Everything is better than before” on its first cinema outing…”
