Emo-outfit BIRCHES hail from the Armagh and Tyrone counties of Northern Ireland. However, nowadays all the members are not even the same country, but have managed to transcend distance, still crafting amazing music. Even though they’re not close to one and another, they’ve managed to create a signature and unique sound.
Recorded at ‘Start Together Studios’ in Belfast, ‘Be Unknown’ showcases their signature sound perfectly. A simple but effective drum beat builds up the track creating an instant impact, working hand in glove with a grooving bass line. On top, guitars soaked in chorus ebb and flow between each other. Vocals are infectious and tinged with emotion and rawness. The irresistible song is accompanied by an impactful music video.
Speaking about the track, they say: “It feels like everything before was all a prequel and Everything to come is the beginning of chapter one of our story. ‘BE UNKNOWN’ story is of just getting up and doing it, whether that’s calling a loved one, starting a new project or even just getting out of bed in the morning. All those things can be tough for someone and we hope this song can give the inspiration to do so.”
With a plethora of events, gigs and plans in the pipeline, the future looks incredibly bright for this hungry young group of pals and the stage is set for BIRCHES to become the band they were simply born to be.
