Dream Pop and Electronica star Bota Butterfly has shared her newest entrancing single ‘Drop’. With a beautiful vocal performance and atmospheric instrumentation, ‘Drop’ is an exciting new offering from the rising talent.
Injecting an element of chilled R&B to the single, Bota creates an ethereal vibe sonically, whilst blowing fans away with an equally luxe video that features Ancient Egypt-inspired visuals (directed by Eliska Sky).
Bota Butterfly shares: “Drop is about an intoxicating and ephemeral relationship. The song is about dating a ‘player’ and enjoying the process of a ‘game’. The song has started with a simple melody that you hear in the intro. I played it on piano and then Tylr Rydr (producer) sampled it and added a really cool effect of an ‘old record’ on top of it. In the music video we used a snake as a reference to poison, toxicity and charmer.
The London based singer/songwriter has been captivating listeners since she began sharing her music back in 2021. The talent has notably worked with Tylr Ryrd (Ashnikko, Girli, Cassyette, Leftwing:Kody) on all her new tracks, including her latest single.
