Bryony Dunn releases elegant new single ‘Purified’

Currently based at Tileyard London studying a Masters in Songwriting and Audio Production, Bryony Dunn has seen success through radio play from the likes of Radio X and BBC Introducing as well as streaming success, amassing well over half a million streams and gaining placements on multiple Spotify Editorial Playlists. Her signature blend of folk, pop and indie-rock has also led to her supporting the likes of Ramin Karimloo, Charlie Dore, Martha Tilston and Roddy Woomble.

Bryony’s latest release is the pensive and dark single ‘Purified’. The track is surrounded in elegant vocal melodies along with layers of harmonies adding elements that feel somewhere between eerie and angelic. The instrumental is packed with swelling synths, a broad bass line. This all culminates into an explosive final chorus, with energised drum parts driving the cinematic vibe before settling into a melancholic ending where Bryony’s voice once again shines.

Speaking about the single, Bryony explains, “Purified grew from a conversation with my dear friends Grace Jackson  and Taka George about a friend of mine who was struggling to let go of the things that were getting them down. The song flowed out of us and became about our own experiences and the experiences of our friends, reassuring each other that life is pure and good at the heart of it. We all need to let go of the darkness we carry, through dancing all night, through swimming with friends in a cold river, through dmc’s late at night on the kitchen floor.”

‘Purified’ is released ahead of Bryony Dunn’s hotly anticipated EP ‘Spring In The City’, set for release August 4th, and only adds to the impressive music this new project is promised to bring.
