Burlington drops new album ‘Daylight Sipping’

Back with a rip-roaring 11-track record, Burlington’s latest offering ‘Daylight Sipping’ feels like an enchanting summer album. Drenched in pools of feel-good guitar work and commanding vocal lines, the LP opens with ‘Mind For Mind’ and quickly moves onto the previous single ‘Daylight Sipping’.

Our personal favorites include ‘River Blue’ and ‘Isn’t It A Funny Life’, both of which bookend the construction of the project. Discussing these two tracks, Burlington explains:

“I wrote this album over the space of about 3 years on and off with life getting in the way sometimes! The earliest song “River Blue” was started when I was on holiday in South Africa sitting on a balcony overlooking the ocean but I only wrote the chorus at the end of last year back in the Uk. The last song that was written was “Isn’t it a Funny Life” which was written in February, it was written after a crazy night out which ends with the sunrise being watched with mates and that’s exactly what it’s about. I feel like there are soundtracks to different experiences in my life which makes it very personal but at the same time listeners can relate to the songs just the same!”

Written in his self-proclaimed tiny spare room, the album takes on a much bigger sound. This is due to Burlington’s exquisite knack for penning feel-good sun-filled anthems, and his knack for production. Proving to be a fast-rising pop sensation, Burlington boasts a real talent for carefully crafting pop singles and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the year holds.
