Philadelphia’s Caring Less’s indie sound has made them local fast risers. With influence from Alanis Morissette and Jeff Buckley, the band is becoming a phenomenon in the Philly scene, the three-piece bringing a new energy into 2025.
Latest single ‘So Sick’ is an emotive slice of acoustic personality. It’s one of those tracks that feels ripe for bringing the whole room together at a small local gig, controlling the atmosphere with a stare directly into your soul.
Raw guitars with driving undertones, tight, steady drums and simple bass movements underpin an emotional vocal performance from lead singer Sara Johnson. Underneath the surface, the track has a dark, romantic allure, with a playful storytelling nature. All these factors make this single an earworm and Caring Less a staple for the future.
The band shares a comment, “Our new single, ‘So Sick’ evolved from an improvised jam at band practice into a bouncy rock anthem that blends our 90’s alternative influences with raw lyrics that blur pain and desire over jangly guitars and a restless beat.”
