Alt-pop flourishing from Suffolk, Caswell’s steady emergence is taking on new interest with an intriguing new voice. Downtempo electronica and ethereality are at the core of this immersive and intimate presence. Across her career, Caswell has supported Ed Sheeran and appeared at Reading & Leeds and Latitude, but it’s only now that she announces her debut album Break/Bleed/Bloom, set for release this October.

New single, ‘Final Call’, is a transcendent but lush and groove-filled track. With a firm backbeat and distorting bass modulations, she sets up a balance to a bewitching, otherworldly vocal performance, grounding it back to earth. Lyrically, she speaks of reincarnation and life’s cyclical nature, bringing both playfulness and deep reflection to the table.

This is alt-pop rich in emotional nuance, but could just as easily be enjoyed as an enticing radio bop. Music made for cinematic depth and introspective listening, delivered in a format prime for relatability and replayability.

She shares, “Final Call explores the concept of reincarnation and feeling a playful curiosity about death, which is something so often seen as negative and taboo in our culture. Nature has always been an incredible way of helping me to feel present and there is beauty in knowing that we are connected to this ancient and cyclical network of life, and that one day when we will inevitably return to the earth that we are made from. Maybe death is simply a fallow period of rest, after which our energy lives on in the natural world in some new way.”
