Thurtythree doesn’t ease you in — they throw you headfirst into the void. On their debut album Cetamology, out today, the mysterious alt-rock force delivers a raw, concept-driven body of work that’s chaotic yet calculated.
Spanning 15 tracks, the record is rooted in heavy riffs, and atmospheric interludes, with nods to the likes of Linkin Park and Bring Me the Horizon. It’s loud, yes – but there’s clarity.
At the heart of the album is a looping existential theme: the push and pull between meaning and nothingness. “Everything means everything, everything means nothing, and nothing means nothing. How it all cycles around,” says Thurtythree. It’s a mantra that bleeds through titles like “everything/nothing,” “Circular Etymology” and “Looped in Distaste,” where lyricism and noise spiral into each other.
The album follows two early EPs (Access Revoked, Infinite Chaos) that quietly built a cult following, drawing in fans who crave something raw, real, and just a little unhinged.
Cetamology is a bold debut from an artist who’s clearly not afraid to dig deep – or go loud.
