Berlin-based, New Zealand-raised alternative pop duo certainly have some stories to tell and as former lovers and musical collaborators, their sound and lyrics come from a very real place. On their new track ‘My Alchemy’, The pair layer acoustic sounds with echoing vocals and pulsating rhythms, reminiscent of a beating heart that is yearning for love. The track features blunt realisation of the selfish act of love, giving their lyrics a fresh and unique perspective.
Charity Children describe their sound as ‘eclectic pop’ with ‘unashamedly exaggerated’ sounds on one track then ‘delicate and precise’ melodies on the next.
The duo are going in a new direction with this new song, taken from their upcoming album entitled ‘Almost Young’ which is set to be a standout album of 2021.
