Since his debut in 2015, Chasey the Illest has been moving from strength to strength, achieving an On The Radar freestyle as well as opening for Marlon Craft on his The Long Game Tour. Now Chasey makes a striking return with his first release of the year, ‘Carry Me’
Divided into two distinctly different halves, ‘Carry Me’ offers a vulnerable insight into Chasey’s artistry. Featuring a hard-hitting and sincere commentary in the first half of the track, whilst the second takes on a smooth, free-flowing R&B melody. With lyrics reflecting and dissecting Chasey’s past, the track stands out as a hard-hitting piece of music.
Diving into his latest release, Chasey shares, “I wrote ‘Carry Me’ as an honest reflection of my past, constantly questioning why I put myself through so much. Nearly every song, verse, and chorus I write is like a diary entry, and this one’s no different. It’s just me processing life in real time and inviting you to do the same, hoping that if you relate, you find some of the clarity or answers you’ve been searching for.”
