Chasing Kites release their new song ‘Falling’

Making waves in their local Bristol scene, and steadily expanding out into the wider national space, Chasing Kites have combined nostalgia with modernity, a recipe catching the ears of tastemakers. Supporting The Lottery Winners, Adult Leisure, King-No-One and Dea Matrona and finding headliners in their own right, the band is on the up and up.

Their latest, new single ‘Falling’, is a deeply love-drenched track. The band bring a reflective sound, capturing a sense of romance so pure that its beauty shatters emotional barriers. Instead of joyous, it’s introspective, rising past the uncontrollable buzz of love and arriving at the more poignant, sentimental centre of what it means to fall for someone.

With washed guitars, gentle drums with plucky electronic additions and an optimistic bass, it all comes together for an affecting slice of indie-rock prowess.

The sense of true love is deeply apparent, lead vocalist Matt Denelly explains why, “Falling was written in a 10-minute moment of infatuation, after deciding I was going to spend the rest of my life with my partner. Since its inception, the track (for me) has become more than that. It has become a reminder to not take the people around you for granted and to take every opportunity to remind them of how much they mean to you. It may not show the same level of classical lyrical prowess as some of our other tracks, but this one comes straight from the heart.”
