Chenza’s powerhouse vocals definitely grab our attention with her interpretation of ‘La Bambola’

Powerhouse singer and songwriter Chenza Puno started singing at age 4 and is the youngest daughter of iconic Filipino singer and soul music pioneer RICO J PUNO.

Born in West Covina, California but raised in Manila, Philippines, the singer eventually made her way to Los Angeles.

At the age of 12, she started to teach herself how to play the guitar and write music.

She shortly began to record, produce, and release her music independently while also performing cover songs on her Youtube channel.

Chenza showcases her deep, sultry, and soaring vocals in folk, pop, experimental, and rock.

She can be compared to Eva Cassidy with her soulful, poignant performances and versatility.

In addition to her solo releases, Chenza previously was the lead vocalist for alternative rock band Room 4, where her influences from pioneering vocalists such as Amy Lee (Evanescence) and Taylor Momsen (The Pretty Reckless) were quite apparent.

In 2020, she became the vocalist for music duo Restless Balloons.

The artist recently recorded a cover of ‘La Bambola’ (originally by Patty Pravo).

With the sound of the classic guitar, latino vibes aplenty and impressive powerhouse vocals, Chenza definitely grabs our attention with her stripped back interpretation of ‘La Bambola’.
