Bringing both stunning visuals and visceral songwriting, Chloe Star is the LA-hailing artist and indigenous tribal advocate. Growing up between the City of Angels and her family’s reservation in San Bernardino, Chloe embraced the chaos of her youth with poetry and journalling, before she learnt piano and guitar and kickstarted a musical career. Able to transform her personal experiences into relatability and authenticity, Chloe has had an incredible start to 2024.
Now truly cementing her place as a rising star on the West Coast, Chloe Star has unveiled her most ambitious project yet, debut EP the bed i lie in. With five tracks capturing the same roaring energy as teaser single ‘Wasted Youth’, Chloe speaks to the monumental occasions that have turned her into the person she is today, bringing fury to the heartbreak and dynamic performances to her emotive storytelling.
Embracing her rock-infused roots unapologetically whilst still providing a pop-tinged infectiousness in the passion of her delivery, Chloe brings her talents to a bed of distorted guitars and pounding drums, crafting a fierce instrumental arrangement. Each riff and melodic line is drenched with exuberance, breaking the floodgates for the colossal vocals that are rich with layering and production, engulfed in the grittiness of it all.
Chloe shares a “Loneliness, heartbreak, overcoming addiction, and just life, is the bed i lie in. This is my most authentic piece of work that I have ever written. Being able to put my heart and soul into this project has been so healing for me on so many levels. I am officially walking in my truth and can now shut the door on the bed i lie in.”
